Day 13 (02.06.2014) a free-n-easy rest day in Stranraer, Scotland

After many days of outdoor activities, today is a rest day for all of us. This morning we visited the neighbours to view their beautiful gardens. In the afternoon Alistair McCulloch went for his Rotary Club of Stranraer meeting. Dinner was Bak Kut Teh and wine.

Foxglove bears tall, dramatic spikes of tubular flowers with speckled throats. Foxglove blooms in midsummer and adds elegance to a perennial border, woodland area, or shade garden at Millfield Avenue, Stranraer.

Foxglove's low-growing foliage is topped by 2 to 5ft tall flower spikes, depending on the variety. Flower colors include pink, red, purple, white, and yellow. Foxgloves are biennials or short-lived perennials. However, although individual plants may be short-lived, foxglove readily self-sows and multiplies at Millfield Avenue, Stranraer.
