We had a quick breakfast at the Enigma Hotel and bought food for the 2-day train journey to Chita. The non-stop direct train journey to Chita takes more than 43 hours. After we stocked up on food for the next 2 nights we had to drag our luggage and other gear through the maze of the Khabarovsk train station. We traveled on 2nd class Rossiya train to Chita.
The Rossiya 2nd class, consists of nine separate four-person compartments with four berths (two lower, two upper), folding tables, and sliding doors. Other amenities include personal reading lights and storage space (built-in shelves above the doors, a box under the lower berth, and shelves on the wall next to each berth).

WC and shower - Long-distance trains: as a general rule each carriage contains two European-style toilets, but no showers (except for the brand-new Rossiya train which also boasts a shower in each carriage).

The cabin attendant was a gem and went out of her way to make us comfortable in our cabin which was next to the dining car. There were hot and cold water dispensers and shower facilities which were 150 rubles peruse (to be honest).
