Day 14 - We had our breakfast in our cabin as we journeyed on the 2nd class Trans-Siberian train to Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
Day 14 (July 04) Krasnoyarsk is 4,865km from Vladivostok, Russia
We left Irkutsk yesterday at approximately 10:45pm and reached Krasnoyarsk today around 4pm. The temperature was dropping, and the views consisted of poplar trees and quaint villages. Throughout the night and into the next day, our train paused a few times.
In the morning, we headed to the train eatery located six cabins from ours. As we walked by, we saw local passengers resting in the open cabin sleeping quarters (3rd class). The name of the third class is ‘Platskart’ and the cheapest one on the train. The total amount of bunks is 54 with 4 beds on one side and 2 on the other and an aisle between them. As we journey by train through Russia, we spend a considerable amount of time enjoying the scenery that unfolds around us.
