31-12-2023 > A family buffer dinner was organized at Shevin’s family house in Butterworth. Birthday cakes to celebrate the birthday of Shevin and her sister Carolyn Teoh. The important thing is to say goodbye to 2023 and hello to 2024. When the clock strikes midnight, we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one with a spirit of optimism, joy, and readiness for new possibilities. It's not just love, it's part of what family is.

The punch drink was prepared by Shevin Teoh. The term punch refers to a wide assortment of drinks, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, generally containing fruits or fruit juice. The drink was introduced from the Indian subcontinent to England by employees of the East India Company in the late 17th century.

The rojak is a salad dish of Javanese origin, commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. The most popular variant in all three countries is a salad consisting of sliced fruit and vegetables served with a spicy palm sugar dressing.

These Nonya kueh are made from simple and easily available ingredients such as flour (rice, glutinous, tapioca, and mung bean), sugar (palm or gula Melaka, brown, black, cane), a pinch of salt, coconut (juiced as milk, grated as a coating), beans (mashed red, green pulp or paste), root vegetables and fruits
