🇷🇺🚆Day 21 (July 11) Kazan 22:00 overnight train 793km to Moscow 12:10 (+1)

This morning, after a great pre-ordered breakfast, we returned to Kazan Kremlin to explore the inside of Kul Sharif Mosque and Annunciation Cathedral, as well as the castle towers and other features that were not visible the night before.

Our 21st day in Russia was five hours behind Malaysian time. Last night, we walked 8.5 kilometres around Bauman Street, the Kazan Kremlin, and Dvorets Zemledel'tsev. Today will be another walking day before we take the nighttime train to Moscow! The 793km train line connecting Kazan and Moscow is one of the most pleasant ways to travel between the cities. The double-decker train that serves the railway line have excellent safety records, are always on time, and can travel from Kazan to Moscow in around 12 hours.

A newlywed couple was seen entering The Kazan Family Centre. What a sight to see as we mixed with the locals. We had to ascend eight flights of steps to get to the top floor of the Kazan Family Centre for a nice glimpse of the river and the Kazan Kremlin in the background. I was told there were lifts for big events.
