2023 December – Ching Neng Bin`s new hobbies range from stingless Kelulut beekeeping to Asian Apis Cerana Honey bees. Beekeeping has been Ching's dream since he was young. His dream came true when a swarm of bees came to build a nest on a wooden cable spool in the backyard of his parent's house in Sitiawan. To keep bees properly, you need to move the nest to a suitable bee-box or beehive so that you can collect raw honey more easily. So he bought a bee-box (RM71.80) and a beekeeper's protective suit (RM18.89) from China. He spent all afternoon transferring it from the cable spool to the bee-box. ReplyDeleteBeekeeping is a good hobby and investment. A healthy Kelulut hive is being sold for RM500 each. If I remember correctly, Kelulut honey is being sold for RM150 or above.
