2019 Outward Bound Malaysia 65th Anniversary Celebrations

I was truly honored to be invited as an ex-bounder of 1975 Course No.203 to participate in the Outward Bound Malaysia 65th Sapphire Anniversary Celebrations on 05.12.2019 in Lumut. My invitation was due to my contribution of my 1975 old photos towards the commemorative 65 year-book "From Dream to Reality - A history of Outward Bound Malaysia" written by Dr Bruce Gale. The celebration was graced by His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Shah, the Sultan of Perak, Malaysia and Mr David Kong, the Chairman of Outward Bound International.

I accompanied Mr V.A.Allan the former Outward Bound Malaysia warden from 1988 to 1994. Mr V.A.Allan was very glad and happy to meet many of his ex-trainees from Royal Military College, corporate figures and staff of Outward Bound from Indonesia, Sabah, Vietnam and Singapore. Into its 65th year, Outward Bound Malaysia continues to conduct safe, adventure-based and specially designed public courses all year round. Participants are not forced to do things they choose not to do. It is more important to provide the participants with a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.
