Guan Yin Ting Dou Mu Gong Temple is one of the largest Chinese temples located in Butterworth built in the 1980s. This is the second major temple at Butterworth dedicated to the worship of Dou Mu, the bodhisattva Marici, associated with the Nine Emperors and also known as Te Anhou.

Guan Yin Ting Dou Mu Gong Temple, Butterworth. It`s said that the Nine Emperor Gods festival originated in Fujian, China. The celebration was brought along by Chinese immigrants as they traveled to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.
