St. Anthony`s School in Teluk Intan was established in 1931 belonging to the local Roman Catholic parish of the same name which is in turn under the supervision of the Diocese of Penang. The school was transferred to the De La Salle Brothers after the 2nd World War and has remained part of the Lasallian community since.

Teluk Intan is a town in Hilir Perak District, Perak. It is the district capital and largest town in Hilir Perak district and the fourth largest town in the state of Perak with an estimated population of around 170k.

Teluk Intan Leaning Tower is a clock tower in Teluk Intan equivalent to Malaysia's Leaning Tower of Pisa. It is 25m (82 ft) high and from the outside looks like an 8-story building, although inside it is divided into 3 floors.

Teluk Intan Leaning Tower was built to store water during the dry season, in case of fire as well as to keep time. It was built under contractor Leong Choon Chong in 1885 but was claimed by a Briton, Neol Danison, and then by the Japanese during their occupation of Malaya in 1941 when they used it as a watch tower. After the country gained independence in 1957, the tower became an official national monument.

Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. The pagoda-style structure was heavily influenced by Chinese architecture as the majority of the city's population at that time was Chinese. Each floor is 5 metres high and there are a total of 110 steps from the ground floor to the top of the tower. The water tank, which is 5 metres high and 18.36 cubic metres deep, is on the third floor and is made of steel. The foundation is 13 metres in diameter and tapers to a diameter of 8.2 metres at the top of the tower.

Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. The cause of the tower's tilt is due to the weak ground on which the tower was built as well as the weight of the water in the water tank, causing the tower to lean to the southwest.

Hock Soon Keong Temple in Teluk Intan was built in 1883, as indicated by a legend painted on the building. This temple was the focal point for all Hokkien Chinese in Teluk Intan during the British colonial period. Local Hokkien people would gather at the temple to solve all kinds of problems, from helping the poor to resolving disputes between clans.
