A very refreshing rooftop breakfast at Hotel Sherpa & Restaurant, Landruk with a breathtaking view of the mountains.

It was nice trekking across serene landscapes with good mountain views.

From here at Waterfall (4,400ft) it was all the way down to New Bridge as we descend into the canyon.

The New Bridge across the fast-flowing Modi Khola River.
The Modi Khola River comes from Annapurna Ranges.

11.35 am arrived at Jhinu for lunch at Hot Spring Cottage & Restaurant - after lunch we trudged up one of the steepest parts of the trek known as the Chomrong Stairs.

Our porters enjoying their lunch at Hot Spring Cottage & Restaurant, Jhinu.

End of trek at this stone wall, and to cross over we need to climb the stone steps-up.

The breathtaking view of the valley and the rice terrace on its slope.

The beautiful view of the Himalayan Ranges from the lodge.

A view of Machapuchare or fish-tail on the right side.

We noticed the strong wind blowing snow away of Machapuchare.

  3. Hi NB,
Your 2 fellow lady trekkers (One of them a Datin)seemed determined though they're not big & strong in their physique. Seeing snow-capped Himalayan Mountain ranges sure is inspiring and refreshing, could entice more adventures. Great to have that prestigious view while having meals at the highland's hotel lodge. Cascading water fall at 4,400 ft above sea level suggests you may not too be too far from legendary Shangrila.

    Regards,
    Alan Kok
