"It's not how big the farmhouse is, but how happy it makes us".
Welcome to Kampung Lumut Kiri by this iconic boat at the entrance road to Kg. Lumut Kiri, Sitiawan.
Farm Lot 176 & Lot 177 is strategically situated in a very quaint Malay Kampung named Kg. Lumut Kiri. This Kampung is situated very near to Sungai Lumut Kiri in Sitiawan.
Kimmy Goh welcomes all to the 7 acres Kim's Family Farmhouse & fruit orchard at Kampung Lumut Kiri.
The two pieces of land was purchased 25 years ago, started with the planting of coconut trees. In view that the land was badly managed by previous management and without any income for landowner, we have decided to take it back in 2019.
Our happiness is able to do-it-ourself building a double storey farmhouse. We engaged a few workers to build the farmhouse all by ourselves since middle of 2019. Due to Covid-19 lockdown, the farmhouse progress has been very slow. It took us two long years to complete the farmhouse in August 2021. Ground floor has 2 rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a patio. Upstairs has 3 rooms, a large living room, a bathroom and a veranda. We have duly furnished two rooms upstairs and two rooms on the ground floor of which one is used for a farm-worker.
We have since planted fruit trees in early 2020 and it takes another 1 to 5 years for some to bear fruits. The main fruit trees planted were 28 durian trees, 54 jack-fruit trees, 75 banana trees, 7 mango trees, 3 mangosteen trees, 6 rambutan trees and 11 soursop trees. Banana takes less than a year while durian takes about 5 years to bear fruits.
We are lucky to have a stream running across the land from neighboring oil palm estate. We have since excavated two big ponds for lotus and fish farming. The land after the fish pond will be used for free-range chickens and goat farming in future.

There is only one honey bee hive in the farm.
Honey bees collect pollen and nectar as food for the entire colony, and as they do, they pollinate plants. Nectar stored within their stomachs is passed from one worker to the next until the water within it diminishes. At this point, the nectar becomes honey, which workers store in the cells of the honeycomb.

2022 - Farmhouse bird
2022-03-25 - I found a baby bird in my farmhouse. What do I do? At some point, nearly everyone who spends time outdoors finds a baby bird—one that is unable to fly and seems lost or abandoned. My first impulse is to make a birdhouse for her. Yes! I did!
