Day 7 (20.10.2019) - Daocheng > Xinduqiao > Zheduo Mountain Pass (Sichuan-Tibet First Pass Prayer Wall) > Kangding > Luding
On day 7, we traveled more than 480km in about 8 hours at an altitude from 3200-4100-1600m. This was the longest road we traveled so far and truly a road trip focusing on the journey rather than destination. On the road we enjoyed the beautiful Yading wide open land area. Drove through Haizishan Nature Reserve, the spectacular view of rocks scattered on both sides of the road, passed through the world's highest city of Litang for lunch.
Continued to Luding, looking back at the Gaoer Temple Mountain tunnel overlooking Gaoer Temple Mountain, then crossed mountain pass at an altitude of 4962m, this is the first Kham pass, where you can see the Tibet Prayer Wall with stone inscribed with "Tashi Delek, bon voyage, good luck" and other prayer stones. Viewed the "King of Shushan" - Kunga Mountain at the altitude of 7556m. Kangding to Luding arriving at sunset for dinner. Overnight and sleeping in Luding Bridge Hotel.
