2012 Backpacking to Perth (12 days: 7 to 18 Sept) day 3

A good morning breakfast of toasted bread, eggs, noodle, baked beans and coffee at Seah's Haven, Perth.

Day 3 (09.09.2012) Boating at Canning River a tributary of the Swan River

Dave prepared the morning breakfast of toasted bread, eggs, noodle, baked beans and coffee. While waiting for our Malaysian friends staying in Perth, Jenny Chuah and spouse Kelvin Tan to meet us at Seah’s Haven, Dave and Gerard took the boat out into the Canning River for our boating ride there. We all then spent the day of family picnicking and boating by the Canning River together with Dave’s brother, sister-in-law, children and grandchildren. We all enjoyed boating along Canning River.

As usual back in Seah's Haven, Dave’s spirit session started at 4.30pm and followed by wine. For another good dinner it was grilled beef and sausages. Dave was the chef de cuisine and Ching Neng Bin was the sous-chef who helped out to cook a prawn dish for dinner at Seah's Haven. Monica Seah invited Jenny Chuah and hubby Kelvin Tan for dinner who both migrated to Perth in the late seventies. Jenny Chuah is from Teluk Intan and Kelvin Tan is from Malacca.

Our guest this evening at Seah's Haven were Kelvin Tan and Jenny Chuah who are both Malaysians but staying in Perth. During dinner, we talked about our funniest memories and everybody had a real blast. There’s no doubt that it could be quite a long time until we can all gather like that again, so the dinner is very memorable to all.
