This morning we visited the Swan House Playground and the Arafmi Mental Health Carers & Friends Association Inc. in Perth.
We then continued a 25km journey north to No.74 Prince Regent Drive, Heathridge to pay a visit to Dave’s mother Fabe and stepfather Ralph Jacobs. We then visited the popular weekend Sorrento Quay Boardwalk at Hillarys Boat Harbour in Fremantle.
From here we drove 50km to Little Creatures, 40 Mews Road in Fremantle for lunch and beer. We then walked across the streets to the Fremantle Markets. This old market hall has been around since 1897 and is now home to one of Fremantle’s most popular attractions with over 150 stalls ranging from fruit and veggies to art and craft.
Jenny and Kelvin came to meet us at the Market and introduced us to buy souvenirs at his friend shop. We then returned to Seah’s Haven for a rest before going for dinner hosted by Kelvin and Jenny at Eureka BBQ Chinese Restaurant, 14 Eureka Road Wilson, Perth. After dinner we drove to Crown Perth Casino. Came back to Seah’s Haven and jumped into the spa for a whirlpool bath.

Conclusion: It was an inexpensive fantastic holiday trip down under to Perth for six of us. In 11 days, we have had driven for more than 1,000 km around the City and exploring the Cape to Cape region from Dunsborough through to Augusta and covering the towns of Cowaramup, Margaret River, Witchcliffe, Karridale and Kudardup in between. We will never forget the stay at Seah's Haven, Pelican Cottage, Molloy Caravan Park and to join the Taste Bud Tour. We would sincerely like to thank Monica and Dave Seah for their wonderful hospitality during our stay in Perth. We would also like to thank Jenny Chuah and Kelvin Tan for the fantastic Chinese dinner on day ten.

Dear Monica and Dave Seah,
Catherine and I would like to thank you personally for making
our trip so much more enjoyable and memorable. It was real
happiness to have stayed at your residence (Seah's Haven) for
the whole duration in Perth and the daily tasty Australian breakfast,
lunch and dinners. It is great pleasure to have met your family members
- children, grandchildren, and Dave's step-grandfather, mother and brother.

Our special thanks to Dave for having so kindly taken his days off to
drive us down south to Augusta for a wonderful camp-out at Molloy
Caravan Park. I will never forget the beer (vitamin B) drinking
session from 4pm and the free flow of wine (vitamin W) from dinner
time to late at night all the days. And also the short guitar jamming
session we had together and glad to have purchased the Yamaha bass
guitar which is value for money.
Our special thanks to you Monica for preparing all the meals and taking
the ladies out for shopping whenever time permits.
Time flies - another trip has come and gone. We are very glad that the
weather has been very kind to all of us. Our warmest regards to you
both and please keep in touch. Perhaps, we can arrange to catch up in
City-A-One when you are in Malaysia and also the jamming session
with my country and western band.
Once again we would like to thank you and Dave for your wonderful
hospitality during our stay in Perth.

ReplyDeleteNice of you to send me pics. of yr back packing travel to Perth. Wish I can join you. Happy backpacking and please send me more of yr adventures.
ReplyDeleteHi Ching
ReplyDeleteIt is equally good to see you. I have been looking at your blog and I must say that you are having a ball of a time after retirement. Even your Perth visit is so much more eventful and rich compared with the various number of visits that we had in Perth with my husband and grandchildren.
More strikingly is that you look not a year older: in fact younger and glowing is the word. I have always been worried about life after retirement. Seeing you happy and full of life and energy is most assuring.
I will be going to Korea in Nov and HK in Dec. Lets see if our fate can meet again...hahah
Meanwhile do enjoy your travels and I will be following your blog from time to time.
Keep well!
Khim
