Day 2 (16.07.2019) was hiking 10.5km roundtrip to Pine Tree Hill Peak in 6.5 hours.
Morning call at 5.30am and breakfast at 6am. By 6.35am everybody was ready and we walked 200m to the Pine Tree Trail Entrance. Eddie Yap (Tel:0122132678) who stays in KKB is a freelance nature hiking guide, led us all the way and gave us good information and advice about jungle survival. We started out early as the morning has fresh air and cool temperature, often with a lovely breeze. The trail is about 5km long and remains the most challenging and toughest trekking path in Fraser's Hill. The name is inspired by the coniferous plants. The trail winds up and down across several tops and ridges before hitting the 1448m peak. The view from the peak is breathtaking of the surrounding landscape of forests and mountains. We finally arrived back at the High Pines Bungalow safely at about 1.45pm for lunch. Everyone was tired and had the afternoon nap before dinner. In the evening we all had a good fellowship to reflect back on the trail, a hike not to forget for a long time to come.
