“Marriage is the union of two people voluntarily entered into for life to the exclusion of all others.”

The Wedding Vow Ceremony:The exchange of wedding vows are when the bride and groom make their sacred promises to each other.

The Groom's Vow: Shevin, you’ve always talk about how I’ve never express or being romantic enough, except for some little birthdays or valentines wishes.

Well, perhaps that’s because I’ve not put on my MAN pants yet. I’ve been searching long and hard for the right words to say but there’s no place on the internet, that could ever express what I felt inside for you.

So, I want to start up by saying how lucky I’m, that I’ve found you. You’re beautiful, funny, understanding and caring, except when you’re hungry. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, travel the world, taste different kinds of food, lay in bed every night laughing over nothing and kissing you good night.

Shevin, my promise to you is that I’ll love you more than I did yesterday. So today, I’m standing right in front of you, ready to take the vows that will forever intertwine in our lives, ready to strive each day to become the man of your dreams, ready to build a family with you, ready to embrace the future together, and ready to merge our lives and passion.

Today, and for the rest of my life, I’m ready to call you my wife. I Love You and Thank You!

The Bride's Vow: I have once read an article, it says Marriage is not beautiful, Marriage is ugly, you see the absolute worst in someone. You see them when they're mad, sad, being stubborn, when they're so unlovable. But, you also get to see them when they are laughing so hard that they can’t help but let out those weird gargling noises. You get to see the side of them that no one else does and its always not pretty.

Marriage isn't a beautiful thing but it's amazing. It's knowing that someone loves you so much and won’t leave you even though you said something nasty. It's having someone on your back no matter what. It's fights over stupid things. It's the dirtiest, hardest, most rewarding job there is. But, at the end of the day, you get to crawl into bed with your best friend, the weirdest, most annoying, loving, perfect person that you know.

Marriage isn't beautiful but it's one heaven of a ride. I am really glad that I have found my soul mate we've been together for 12th years coming to 13. It's never an easy task, but we made it!

Thank you my soulmate for what you have done for me all these times. No one else would understand how much you have done for me, except myself. 12 yrs. of long distance relationship even after we married, people would ask me how we made it? I would say I have found someone who is kind with great personality. Most sincere person ever, which all my friends agreed. And, like my porpor says, “He always has a sunshine smile on his face like a smiling Buddha!”

Last time, I've always been complaining that you are like a wood and not being romantic enough, but I was wrong! Lately, yes... lately although we've been together for 12 years I realized your expression of romance is different - you are not that wood after all!

Thank you for treating my family like is yours, especially Sau Jin! ha-ha He loves you so much! I am sure he is very sad now that his lover is getting married, but the bride is not him! hahahahaha...

Thank you for giving me my dream wedding... Thank you for loving me for who I am... Also Thanks to your parents who also treated me like their own daughter. I promise I will do the same.

I promise I will try my best to learn to cook because I know you love home cook food!
I promise I will try to love sports and go exercise more often with you...
I promise I will shop lesser, but this is very hard for me! I will try....
I promise I try my best not to nag at you. Did I always nag you? ha-ha
I promise I will never cut super short hair again. I know you love me having long hair...

I am looking forward to spend the rest of my life with you and can't wait to end this long-distance relationship. But! One thing! This is what I heard yesterday from a woman who has 7 years of marriage and a 6-yr.old daughter told me that before marriage he will treat you like a princess, princess, princess.... after marriage, he will treat you like maid maid maid. Can you promise you don't do that to me????? hahahahaha I love you!!!!!! Thank you!

The Ring Exchange Ceremony

The Exchange of Wedding Rings represent the vows and promises the bride and groom have exchanged. They signify to the world that they belong to someone special and someone special belongs to them.

"I give this ring to you Shevin Teoh, are the love of my life and you are my very best friend".

"I offer my vow to you Jin Wei in the form of this ring, so that my word and my love, will always be with you, close to your heart".

"You may kiss me now!"

Thumbprint Signature Poster Ceremony

A Sand Ceremony or Blending of the Sand is a unique way to symbolize two lives becoming one in a wedding ceremony.

"Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand. One representing the GROOM and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be and the other representing the BRIDE and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be".

"As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be".
