16.02.2026 - This reunion dinner reminds us that family is our greatest blessing. The fish on our table symbolizes abundance. The vegetables represent growth. The sweet cakes promise progress. But the most meaningful symbol is this table itself — bringing us together as one.
Over the past year, each of us has faced challenges and achieved victories. Some struggles were visible, others carried silently. Yet tonight, we sit here together — healthy, grateful, and stronger than before.
Let us thank our elders for their wisdom and sacrifices. Without their foundation, we would not stand where we are today. Let us also bless the younger generation — may they grow with courage, kindness, and integrity.
As we welcome the Year of the Horse, let's move forward with strength and determination. May our family continue to gallop ahead with harmony, resilience, and prosperity. May our home always be filled with laughter. May our health remain strong. May our hearts stay close, no matter where life leads us.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Goh Chooi Beow and Ching Meei Jin for graciously hosting our Chinese New Year’s Eve Reunion Dinner at Beiking Restaurant.
Your generosity, warmth, and thoughtful arrangements brought our family together for a truly memorable evening. The delicious food, joyful atmosphere, and spirit of togetherness made the celebration even more meaningful.
Because of your kindness, our reunion was filled with laughter, gratitude, and cherished moments that we will remember for years to come. May your kindness return to you in abundance in the Year of the Horse — with good health, happiness, and continued prosperity. With sincere appreciation and festive blessings — Gong Xi Fa Cai!
Tonight, we celebrate not only a new year, but the gift of having one another. To family, unity, and a prosperous year ahead. Gong Xi Fa Cai. Cheers

Tonight, we gather not just to enjoy a meal, but to celebrate something
far more precious — our unity. No matter how busy life has been, no
matter how far we have traveled, on this special evening we return home.
We return to the people who know us best, who support us quietly, and
who stand by us through every season of life.
L-R: Dr. Goh Chooi Beow, Ching Meei Jin, Dr. Julia Lim, and Dr. Goh Hong Siang.
Gathering
around the table, we're reminded that family is our greatest treasure.
The fish symbolizes abundance, vegetables represent growth, and sweet
cakes promise progress - but it's this very table that brings us
together as one. As we welcome the Year of the Horse, may our family
gallop ahead with harmony, resilience, and prosperity.

Yee Sang is one of the most well-known Chinese New Year customs. Served as a vibrant raw fish salad and tossed high into the air with shouted blessings, it not only symbolizes the beginning of a dinner but also the symbolic ascent of prosperity for the next year.

At first view, it appears to be a colourful buffet of shredded veggies and fish. However, every ingredient, every word spoken over it, and every upward flick of the chopsticks contains layers of mythology, migration, and meaning.
