Fantastic! Brings back awesome memories when I was working in the New straits Times after leaving FMC - only in the 60s change to RMC. I simply love travelling too (well apart from Europe, Hawaii, Australia, Indonesia etc. I still love our Malaysia ... and have driven 3 times from JB via Mersing to the Royal town of PEKAN into Kuantan, passing the very beautiful South China Sea. Than next day up the Terengganu trial into Club Med, Kerteh the cowboy town, then turn off into Lake Kenyir, next day off to Kelantan into GOLOK than drove pass GRIK into Penang. Next day into IPOH Cameron and finally all the way home. Ha no days counting etc JUST on and on, free and easy. IT WAS SIMPLY unimaginable the drive..the scenery, the food...

Once with a bicycle rode all the way from KL to Penang..took 6 days..haha sleeping in police stations temples..than took the train back to KL...and if I still remember drove from KL to Changmai..wow..that was the BEST.

Now settled in JB..and age creeping up..still itchy..but mainly fly and check out areas..love MELBOURNE...last trip hope to visit the last OLYMPIC GAMES CITY...to stand beside MY LORD and SAVOUR..JESUS..haha the huge statue with HIS outstretched HANDS..

    CHEERS...Neng Bin..GOD BLESS.

  6. Dear sir,
Very interesting trip you have been organising, I was actually looking for a group who loves to backpack (including travelling overseas) and I thought maybe you may allow me to join you all for local and oversea travels...

I am a retiree and travelling is my 'job' now ..... do I have a chance to experience what you all have been experiencing?

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.
    Have a marvelous day.
    Best regards

  7. Hi Ching, Thank you for sharing. As I am from Kelantan and worked for a few years in Terengganu after I left the Government Service, this brings back my memories travelling along the same route.

Hi! Thanks for sharing this adventure of yours. Oh, it's been so long since I've been back to all those places so thank you very much for reminding me of our beautiful country but the places have changed so much since my last trip to any of them and that was up till 1998. Looking forward to reading your next adventure.

    Best wishes to you
    Poh Lean
