2024 - Trans-Siberian Train Adventure (Day16 Novosibirsk, Siberia, Russia)

A 30day 9,938km Trans-Siberian Train (21 Jun>21 Jul, 2024) Vladivostok in the east to St. Petersburg

🇷🇺🚆After 15 days and countless memories aboard the 7th overnight train on the Trans-Siberian Railway, our comradeship had blossomed into something truly special. The rhythmic clatter of the train became the backdrop to countless conversations that meandered through stories, laughter, and shared dreams. The picture above speaks a thousand words. It was an incredible adventure and a once-in-a-lifetime experience in a big land.

We indulged in our prepared meals, savoring the simple joys of breaking bread together while exchanging cultural nuances and tales from our lives. Between sips of vodka and cups of tea, a profound bond emerged—one that felt less like fleeting travel companionship and more like the creation of a surrogate family.

Each shared meal, each toast, and every fleeting glance at the vast Siberian landscapes outside strengthened this bond. What began as an adventure to traverse continents became an unforgettable journey of connection and kinship.

🇷🇺🚃Day 16 (July 06) Novosibirsk, Siberia, Russia.

On July 5, we departed Krasnoyarsk at 19.05. On July 6, we reached Novosibirsk at 08.28. Since Vladivostok, we have taken seven overnight train trips. Poplars, villages, cargo trains, and virtually no internet access—even at train stops—are all nearly identical scenes. But we had a great cabin attendant who was friendly and helpful. She almost made someone fall in love!

Cinderella - A modern version of 1945's great performance is being resurrected in a more familiar format for today's audience. The production's defining feature has been a successful fusion of traditional ballet techniques and 21st-century stage technology. This production combines visual computer effects with traditional costumes and props. Rostislav Zakharov, who created the ballet us unique choreography, described it as "a song about the rebirth of human life, about youth, about happiness, about a dream." Mikhail Messerer worked on the reconstruction in the same spirit that the ballet our creator had created.

There were eight of us at the Cinderella Ballet performance, and we all had an excellent view from our gallery seats. It was a full house, with largely locals. My seat cost Rub 1.5k (RM75).
